Why an e-bike on Treasure Island
The island is flat, but the Gulf breeze is not always at your back, and the bridges over John's Pass and Blind Pass climb. Pedal-assist takes care of both. You pedal as usual and the motor adds a push, so a ride that would wear you out on a beach cruiser feels easy.
A 2-hour rate made for the island
Most rental shops only rent e-bikes by the day. We added a 2-hour rate ($30) because that is how most people ride here: out to lunch or the beach and back. Keep it longer with the 24-hour rate ($70) or the weekly rate ($190).
Ride rules
- Renter 18+ with photo ID. Riders must be 16 or older.
- Ride on streets, bike lanes, and paths, never on the beach or the dunes.
- Ride with traffic, use lights after dark, and lock the bike whenever you leave it.
Three easy rides
John's Pass Village
Cross into Madeira Beach for the boardwalk, seafood, ice cream, and boats coming in through the pass.
St. Pete Beach and Pass-A-Grille
Head over Blind Pass and keep going south to the historic Pass-A-Grille district at the tip.
Sunset Beach
The quieter south end of Treasure Island, with a wide beach and a front-row view of the sunset.
E-bikes: common questions
Do I need a license to ride an e-bike or e-scooter?
No driver's license is needed. The renter must be 18 or older with a photo ID, and every rider must be at least 16.
How far can I go on an e-bike?
A full charge covers a full day of island riding. A ride from Treasure Island to John's Pass Village and back, or south to St. Pete Beach and Pass-A-Grille, is well within range.
Are helmets included?
Yes, free with every bike and scooter. Florida law requires helmets for riders under 16, and we recommend them for everyone.
Why rent for 2 hours?
Most guests want to ride to lunch, the beach, or John's Pass and come back, not keep a bike for a whole day. The 2-hour rate is priced for exactly that.
Can I ride on the beach?
No. E-bikes and scooters stay on streets, bike lanes, and paths. Park and lock at a beach access or bike rack.
