Street-legal carts, not beach toys
Our carts are low-speed vehicles (LSVs). Under Florida law an LSV is a titled, registered, insured vehicle with a 17-digit VIN, built with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, a windshield, and seat belts. That is what makes them legal on public streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less.
What you need to drive
- Every driver must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license.
- A credit card in the renter's name.
- Every passenger must have a seat and wear a seat belt. Bring a car seat for small children.
- No alcohol while driving. Florida DUI laws apply to LSVs.
Where you can drive
Before you leave, we hand you a route map of streets open to LSVs and walk you through it. Some main roads, including stretches of Gulf Boulevard, are off-limits except to cross at an intersection. Stick to the map and you will reach the beach accesses, restaurants, and shops on the island.
Daily or weekly
Carts rent by the day ($99 for 4 seats, $125 for 6 seats) or by the week ($495 or $625). For five days or more, the weekly rate costs less.
What to do with a cart
Haul the gear
Chairs, umbrella, cooler, and the kids. Park near a beach access and carry it all in one trip.
Dinner and sunset
Roll to a waterfront restaurant on approved streets, then catch the sunset at the south end of the island.
Six seats, one ride
Families and friend groups stay together. No rideshare wait, no parking hunt.
Golf carts: common questions
Are your golf carts street legal?
Yes. Our carts are titled, registered, and insured low-speed vehicles (LSVs) with a VIN, headlights, turn signals, mirrors, and seat belts. Florida allows LSVs on roads with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less.
Do I need a driver's license to drive a golf cart?
Yes. Every driver must be 21 or older and hold a valid driver's license, which we check at pickup.
Where can I drive the cart?
Our team gives you a route map before you leave. Some main roads, including stretches of Gulf Boulevard, are off-limits to LSVs except to cross at an intersection. The map shows the streets you can use.
How many people fit in a cart?
Choose a 4-seat or a 6-seat cart. Every rider must have a seat and a seat belt, and small children need a proper car seat.
Is there a minimum rental?
Carts rent by the day or by the week. The weekly rate is the better deal for five days or more.
